This Antique period lap robe blanket made out of Mohair .
It’s a heavy 60” x 48”
This one has a gorgeous brown black and cream flower and geometric design.
It sheds a bit like these are all known to do. A few weaving pulls along the edge.
In overall good vintage condition. There is some areas of wear along the edge. Please see last picture.
We are unsure about the exact age of this blanket as it has no markings. Most carriage blankets are 100 years old or older.. so wear is to be expected. I did not find any holes.
Beautiful for a throw or wall hanging. Quite heavy as they were designed for carriages, sleighs and even cars when cars were invented. The blanket not only kept you warm but also kept and mud off of you too!
